GJHS Nurse

I have been practicing in the Gonzales community my entire career as a nurse. I enjoy serving the students and parents of our schools. I have one son who graduated from GHS. I have two grandchildren whom I spend my spare time attending their sporting events. I love to garden and work in my yard.

Students will be sent home, if:

  • Their temperature is 100.0 degrees F or higher.
  • They are actively vomiting
  • They have diarrhea
  • They need to be seen by a doctor
  • They have a contagious illness
  • The school nurse feels it is in their best interest.

Helpful Information:

  • It is asked that students be kept at home when ill, and they have a normal temperature (less than 100.0) for 24 hours after any illness without the use of fever - reducing medication before returning to school.
